Return to Watton






Water Vole













Black-bellied Dipper
Another trip through to Watton for the Black-bellied Dipper produced great views again with the bird showing up to 4 feet at times. On arrival looking out for the Dipper I found a Water Vole resting in the sun before it decided to take the plunge back in to the river.

    Beautiful shots of the Dipper.

    I wonder if I'd get within 4 foot with a Jack Russel in tow, probably not!

    Tried for the bird Sunday but not around. Chap said he had been 6 x's and mate 7 x's, apparently thought dog walkers on the footpath saw the bird off!

    Thanks Paul & Mike for the comments. Not a good idea to take the dog Paul, and Mike keep trying, I have been a couple of times and the bird didn't show.
