Ring Ouzel
The above Ring Ouzels were part of a group of 11
birds seen at Ravenscar in the same field as the
Wheatear's, once again poor light conditions
(digiscoped images).
More Wheatears
The above pics are a combination of Wheatears
seen at Ravenscar and the Marine Drive, Scarborough.

Ringing In Wykeham Forest
Willow Warbler
Yellowhammer
Robin
Great Tit
Goldfinch
Dunnock
Bullfinch
Goldcrest
Chaffinch
My first ringing expedition and I am totally hooked.
To see birds in the hand is a truely great experience.
I cannot wait to get back out in the field and see what
is caught, ringed and recorded next.
Crossbill
The Crossbill not an easy bird to get close to, however I
was lucky enough to get a few shots of this female, but
not lucky enough to have good light conditions, so these
pics are a little on the rough side.
Red Legged Partridge & Pheasant
Two most beautifully coloured game birds. The cock Pheasant
always amazes me with its fantastic colours, and the Red
Legged Partridge is just a beautiful bird to catch a glimpse of.
In My Garden
Just sat out in the garden for 15 minutes and took a
few shots of my local neighbours, most of these birds
were collecting nesting material, and the female blackbird
(partner of the above) was already sat on her nest in the
Ivy attached to my fence.

First Wheatears of the year, these 3 birds were feeding in
and out of the rocks behind the cliff wall which runs below
the Scarborough Castle headland.
Easter Ducklings

on the river in West Ayton.

The Gannet
The gannet colony at RSPB Bempton Cliffs is growing day
by day. Most nests are built now and it will not be long before
the first glimpse of an egg.
