Red Backed Shrike

My second ever Red Backed Shrike. This male had been seen the evening before at Old Fall, Flamborough, so I thought I would take an early visit the next day, with a possible hope of gaining the usual distant shot that a Shrike will let you have, instead I was rewarded with these beauties.

Starling

Just a few pics of a Starling in full Summer glory taken in West Ayton.

Redstart

The Redstarts are back in the Hackness Valley. These beautiful birds nested in the valley last year and have returned lasting the very long journey all the way from Africa.

Another trip up on to the magnificent North Yorkshire Moors. This time went to Rosedale & Farndale, through Bransdale and up on to Danby Beacon to try and find some Dotterel which had been seen there the evening before. Unfortunately no look finding the Dotterel, but did find a nesting Ring Ouzel and all of the above, a great day's birding
