Amazing Bempton

RSPB Bempton Cliffs is a very special place and the best time to visit is through the months of May, June and July. The Seabird Spectacle is at it's best now with birds building nests, sitting on eggs and even feeding their young.

The wind direction has been amazing over the last few days with north easterly winds blowing the birds up high to the top of the cliffs in which you can see them floating on air with the greatest of ease.

In association with the RSPB and Yorkshire Coast Nature I will be delivering every Friday and Monday morning through May and June a Bird Photography Taster Workshop from 10.00am to 12.00pm at a cost of £10.00 per person. For more information and to book a place visit:

OUR COMPANY
Yorkshire Coast Nature (YCN) is a small independent tourism company. Every member of our team lives locally and is passionate about wildlife. We believe strongly in delivering eco-tourism with a direct benefit for wildlife and provide annual grants to nature conservation organisations. So when you use one of our services you can be assured that you are helping wildlife. In 2011 we joint-funded a wetland restoration and bird hide project for Thornwick and Sea Farm Holiday Centre at Flamborough Head. It’s a great feeling to enjoy natural history in a habitat you helped create!
YCN’s partner company Wold Ecology Ltd. specialises in ecological surveys and farm environmental stewardship.
OUR SERVICES
Yorkshire Coast Nature offers a variety of activity tours, events and workshops. We provide everything from short tours aimed at those interested in specific areas, species or photography to longer holidays on which you can experience a wide range of the species and landscapes of the Yorkshire coast.
Everyone is welcome, from beginners to the more experienced. In order to give you the maximum personal attention, as well as to minimise disturbance to wildlife, our longer tours cater for small groups only.
We are also happy to arrange bespoke tours for individuals and small groups – just contact us with your requests.
Whichever event you choose, we aim to please you with relaxed and enjoyable experiences of Yorkshire’s wildlife and habitats. We are sure that you will take home wonderful memories.
OUR TOUR LEADERS
Our tour and events leaders and tutors are highly experienced in the field of natural history and enjoy sharing their knowledge with others. They are friendly, adaptable and sensitive to the needs of individual clients. We are confident that you will enjoy their company as well as their expertise!
OUR PRODUCTS
In our prints gallery we have a wide selection of incredible wildlife images for you to browse through and purchase. Many of these are also available to buy as postcards. We have also produced, in conjunction with two well-known wildlife artists, a large presentation map of Flamborough Headland printed on quality canvas. For those wishing to explore the area independently, attractive packs of wildlife walk cards are available.
