tristis-type Chiffchaff

A tristis-type Chiffchaff has been present at the east end of Star Carr just south of Seamer Carr Tip and is showing signs of being a possible Siberian. More information on this bird can be found on the Scarborough Birders sightings page.

Please also check out Dave Mansell's images at www.eastaytonbirding.com. Please feel free to drop me an email with any comments regarding ID of this bird to try and pin point it down to a Siberian.

Brilliant shots, and an excellent blog all round!

I've started a bit of a new venture, which is a multi-user wildlife blog for Yorkshire birders. If you fancy becoming a contributor then drop me a line.
