Lapland Bunting

I came across this beautiful little bird when I took a guided nature walk on a local farm that I am working with. I could not believe my look to see this adult male, very near full summer plumage.

Hi friends,

The Lapland bunting is a robust bird, with a thick yellow seed-eater's bill. The summer male has a black head and throat, white eyestripe, chestnut nape, white underparts and a heavily streaked black-grey back. Thanks a lot!
