Local Osprey

Took a drive up to Wykeham Forest Raptor View Point (only 10 mins from my house) to try and capture a glimpse of the Honey Buzzards that have been seen recently. Had know joy with the Buzzards, was just about to pack up when a large raptor came gliding past at a distance and to my surprise it was an adult Osprey, my very first local tick, just managed to snap a few record shots.

Great to see the Osprey Steve.
Was at Raptor view point last Friday for a couple of hours but nothing to see. Marcus Conway was there (ebirder)and had been for the four hours before and seen nothing.
Love the postings from Mull, we were in a very wet Wales last week.
Like the Gallery and slideshow features and will be unashamedly nabing the idea.
Keep up the good work.

Really pleased to pick up the Osprey Mike. Have been back up to the Raptor View Point today and had Honey Buzzard displaying and also had Goshawk and Turtle Dove, but no opportunities for photography.
